Senior Play – An Adaptation of Animal Farm

An adaptation of George Orwell’s Animal farm will be performed by the senior forms on Tuesday 1st  and Thursday 3rd April. There is a Drinks Reception at 6.30 in the Main Hall with the curtain falling at 7.00 (ish) on each evening.  For parents of boarders, Thursday 3rd is a good night on which to attend – you will be free to take your children home with you after the performance for the holidays.  For parents of day pupils, take note: there is no school for day pupils on Friday 4th.

We are just over halfway through the optimistically-labeled ‘Spring’ term. The children of Upper and Lower VI will have mock Common Entrance exams after our St. Patrick’s Day exeat, and this is concentrating their minds on their work — though I am often struck that Headfort children are very well motivated in any case, with or without exams on which to focus. Our hockey pitches have been well and truly sodden, but that hasn’t stopped both the Girls’ team and the Mixed First XI from achieving some notable success, mainly away from home.
