Welcome December has been an exciting month as the children eagerly anticipate Christmas and ultimately Santa’s arrival. Our classroom stories have been seasonally focused as has our choice of practical life and art and crafts activities. Headfort, a health promoting school

On Saturday, April 2nd, Headfort Montessori School accepted a National Award from Dr. Cate Hartigan, Assistant National Director of Health Promotion and Improvement, in recognition of the successful implementation of the Healthy Ireland Smart Start programme and our strong commitment to children’s emotional and mental well-being and health promoting practices. A really proud day for our school, our staff, our families, our community but most importantly the children who remain at the centre of all that we do. The course was facilitated by the National Childhood Network in collaboration with the Health Improvement Division of the HSE.
