The girls won their round-robin at the annual 8-a-side AIJS under-12 hockey tournament at Mount Anville yesterday. They played in the middle level tournament (out of three). Their results were: 2-1 v Teresians 2nds, 0-0 v St. Gerard’s 2nds, 1-0 v Mount Anville 2nds and 1-0 v St Kilian’s 1sts. All the girls played very well indeed, with the stand-out players being Willa RH (captain and a tower of strength at centre-back), Aurora HJ (a rock of determination in goal, letting just one past her in four matches), Ella R and Grace A (who both played with a combination of…

Tuesday 15th December is the night before we break up for the Christmas holidays, and so we would like to invite all of you, and your friends, to a very special early evening Advent Concert in lieu of a the traditional carol service of old. The concert in our beautiful…

Great win today for the girls. Willa RH captained her team superbly to a 4-0 win against Drogheda Grammar. A goal by Florrie O’D gave us a 1-0 lead at half time, not really an accurate reflection of near total dominance. But the goals flowed in the second half. ‘Super sub’ Barbara D scored twice and Marta A scored at the end too, a just reward for a lot of hard work. Ella R playing at Centre Half was the main play-maker, distributing the ball stylishly and confidently. Strong performances from Aurora HJ and Grace A also. The girls were…
