The First XI took part in the final of the under-13 C league competition on Wednesday 25th — their fourth final in the past six years. This year the format was new: a 4-way play-off with the two top teams from each division of the Leinster league. Our first match was against Dalkey School Project, who had well beaten us (4-0) in last year’s final. The Girls’ XI lost at Wilson’s Hospital 2-0 on Friday 6th March. Both goals were rather soft, and our team spent the entire second half encamped inside the opposition’s half but just could not score — the goalie’s pads saw plenty of the ball! The girls have just one more match, against Loreto Convent (Navan) on Thursday 19th March. So far in their league they have won two, drawn one and lost two.
