Your child will be assigned a shadow/friend for the day and will be fully immersed in a normal school day, attending lessons, eating meals, playing sports and even sleeping over. Both the girls’ and the mixed team have been in action recently. On Tuesday, 11th February the girls — playing in the snow in Navan! — defeated a much improved Mercy Convent team 1-0, with Aude scoring the only goal of the match. The girls are currently top of the Meath League, but they have two crucial matches still to play. Headfort Green School Clothing Recycling Collection

The Headfort Green School Committee have decided to conduct a clothing recycling collection, in order to increase awareness among the school community regarding the importance of recycling and reusing items that are no longer any use to the original owner. We also hope to use this opportunity as a fundraising event.  This year we are working on the ‘Water’ theme.  We have been looking at ways in which we can conserve water and reduce water usage within the school.  We are exploring the possibility of harvesting rainwater and intend to purchase a “water butt”.
